- Opportunity: Total has operations in more than 130 countries around the world, allowing their employees to move around and explore new cultures.
- Variety: Total hires in nearly 500 different professional disciplines.
- Ownership: A progressive employee share ownership policy means that all of Total's 96,000 employees have the chance to own a piece of the company.

Total Canada is currently working on four different projects in Alberta, including 'Joslyn', 'Surmont' and 'Northern Lights' in the Fort McMurray region, as well as an upgrader project northeast of Fort Saskatchewan. The company has a broad spectrum of expertise, from exploration, development and production to midstream gas, refining and marketing, as well as crude oil/petroleum product trading and shipping.
